  With VoD you can rework, cut, and the like. This means that completely different video formats are possible. Because of this, there are many other genres on YouTube and not just game streams, as is more or less the case with Twitch.

  For me as a blogger, the older articles are very important because many visitors read older articles, and the overall traffic increases. It is similar to YouTube, where the videos persist and many users look through old playlists.
  
  At Twitch, on the other hand, the focus is on the live stream. The streams can then also be made available as VoD, but only for a limited time.
  
  So on Twitch, the VoD is only rudimentary. YouTube does have a live feature, but it doesn't seem to be used very often.

  Opportunities The two services also differ in terms of revenue opportunities. There is advertising in both portals, of which the video creators get a certain share, but otherwise, it is different.   Still, YouTube's spectrum is broader.

Similarities

There are also some similarities. As already indicated, some sources of income can be used in both portals. Affiliate marketing as well as sponsorships.

It is also important on YouTube, as on Twitch, to bring out videos regularly and to show continuity.

In addition, the technology is similar and a good upload speed is important.
