Blog Income - Is There A Maximum Or Is More? - This is the question almost every blogger or website owner has asked himself who, after years, has gotten to a point where income is no longer constantly increasing as he was normally used to.

My income has also been at roughly the same level for a few months now and of course, I asked myself whether I have now reached a maximum or whether it is possible to earn more money.

So Is There A Maximum Intake Or Not?

Blog Income - Is There A Maximum Or Is More?

There are always readers of my blog who, after one of my blog income reports, are very quickly aware that a maximum has now been reached and further income growth is no longer possible.

Shortly afterward it usually went up. ;-)

But basically, you have to say that there are of course limits, such as a limited number of German-speaking readers. And this number is of course even smaller, depending on the topic.

But does that mean there is also an income limit or not?

There Is No Limit!

I'm just saying that this limit doesn't exist. Of course, there are those moments when you get stuck, but that doesn't mean that you can't go any further.

I've done a lot about monetization on my blog. Nevertheless, a lot of potentials is still unused, for example, Eisy once analyzed and as one or the other internet, expert confirms to me again and again.

Now there are reasons why I don't do everything to earn more, but I also have plans to further increase my income here on the blog in the future without annoying regular readers.

The basic statement remains that, in my opinion, there is no ominous limit for blog income, but you can always use one of 2 methods to earn more.

Optimize And Maximize

You have 2 options on how you can further increase your income.

Optimize

On the one hand, this would be “optimization”. Existing sources of income can always be optimized and never at 100%.

I have already published some articles on my blog in which I gave tips on how to optimize individual sources of income, such as AdSense, affiliate income, income from paid posts, banner advertising, etc.

In this context, regular testing is an important basic requirement in order not to get stuck in one place. Not only does your blog change over time, but also the readership and the individual sources of income are constantly being developed. That is why you should regularly take a closer look at them, as the best variant from a year ago does not necessarily have to be the best today.

Or maybe one source of income used is more important than another today and you should change the weighting in the blog. By optimizing the existing income, it is usually always possible to generate more income.

The suitability of individual sources of income often changes as the content of a blog evolves.

However, the optimization can also affect other things. Optimized usability ensures, for example, that readers are more satisfied and look at more. Search engine optimization ensures that you can be found more easily on Google and that you get more visitors again. etc.

Maximize

The second method against revenue stagnation is to maximize it. This means that you are breaking new ground.

On the one hand, this can affect your content. New topics can open up new groups of readers and thus generate new income.

Maximization also affects the sources of income themselves. There are now significantly more sources of income in Germany than there were 5 years ago. For the vast majority of intake types, some alternatives should be tested.

Entirely new sources of income have also emerged. If you haven't used affiliate marketing before, you should just try it out. But even those who already use affiliate marketing can find new partner programs or new areas of application.

Of course, it is also possible, for example, to increase the number of banner spaces and in this way to maximize income. Of course, one should also pay attention to the reactions of the readership. A banner extension that generally brings 20% more income does not make sense if it results in 30% fewer readers.

People often forget their long tail. The top articles have been monetized, but hundreds of articles that have only a few visitors have not yet been monetized.

The CPM

To be able to compare the different sources of income, there is the value eCPM (effective cost per mille).

This means costs or income per 1,000 PageViews.

For me, this value has been just over 20 euros for months. Other blogs are well below, but some affiliates are well above their affiliate sites.

You should keep an eye on this value so that you can see, for example, if you are optimizing one source of income at the expense of another.

Conclusion

So you shouldn't be too quick to conclude that a maximum in income has been reached.

There is always something to optimize or maximize, and a combination of both methods often produces the best results.

It is important to proceed in a structured manner and not tinker a little here and there.

Instead, you should think carefully about what you want to do and then start exactly at this point and optimize and/or maximize it.

In any case, I have made a plan of where I want to start in the coming months to optimize my previous income as well as to break new ground and earn more.

In my series of articles “7 Tips for More Website Earnings” I give specific tips and show optimization steps for increasing your website earnings.
