As offline book sales start to dwindle, people are turning to the KINDLE and being a Kindle kinda person, I can see the potential to explode your ideas into high demand ebooks, and making money from sales using online publishing on rinse & repeat.
A Kindle is a portable eBook reader.
At first it may seem a little daunting, after all – AMAZON? surely that’s the playground of only the Rich & Famous Authors, isn’t it? Eh, NO – I can assure you, it is definitely NOT.
And now anyone with a few ideas, some great words to showcase & glue those ideas together - can now get their book up and running in, well – no time at all really..
Here’s how..

Using POD – Print On Demand Technology, you are only going to be printing off books that are being ordered from your Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk Sales page. Hence POD companies do not charge upfront fees.
With traditional offline publishers, before a book is published, large capital sums needed to be invested in print costs to produce books to meet potential demand from the bookshops.
Although these costs were recouped from the sales of the book, the publishing houses were not always willing to take chances on new authors, as they are commercially motivated – hence many great Authors never actually got into print.

However, with online publishing – Books are NOT required to be printed pre-sale, and a whole NEW world of eBooks from relatively NEW authors can now at last be aired on the World’s publishing stage..
Popular online publishers such as Lulu.com Authors Online UK & Createspace are just a few of the many POD publishers,
Be careful with your choice of POD company. If the company you choose to publish your print on demand book does not have an exclusivity clause, you will be able to use more than one publisher at a time if you want. I personally would stick with one publisher.
Also, be sure to check the terms and conditions of your contract to ensure that you retain the copyright to your ebook before you sign up with any POD company.
I would suggest you use Createspace for your POD publishing. They will allow you to retain the copyright on your ebook, they also have a direct relationship with Amazon.com and will get you listed on Amazon.com without any fees or additional work on your behalf.
Once your book is set up with CreateSpace.com and approved, they will submit it to Amazon.com on your behalf.
Createspace have their own book cover creator and over 2000 images you can use for your design. You can also design your own covers and book interior, or of course, you could get them designed for you from sites such as Elance or Getafreelancer or even get a cover design from Fiverr.
All in all, you could have the book up an running, published and making you money within a very short space of time. It may seem like hard work at first but with practice, the process will get easier with practice..
You will see a lot of the sale price of the book disappear in fees to both Createspace and Amazon, however it will be worth it to get yourself published on a premium bookselling site like Amazon, and to have all the publishing and sales process taken care of.
With products like Kindle and the online reader system from Ipad, plus the huge increases in sales of eBooks seen recently – this is definitely the wave of the 2.0 future and we can now ALL publish our products and FINALLY claim our OWN plot of publishing cyberspace on AMAZON.
Somewhere, out there is a book with your name on it – just waiting for the WORLD to see it!
I hope you have enjoyed today’s Tip – Your comments, as always are very welcome.
